Cultural Transformation Tools
MMA uses a series of Cultural Transformation Tools® developed by Richard Barrett & Associates to help our clients develop and manage their organization's culture, and implement and monitor Cultural Transformation.

Individual Values Assessment
The Individual Assessment instrument is frequently used by coaches to measure the degree of alignment between an individual's Personal and Desired Culture Values, and the individual's perception of the Current Culture Values. The results are plotted against the framework of the Seven Levels of Personal and Organizational Consciousness.

Team Culture Assessment
The Team Culture Assessment is used to measure the consciousness and map the values of teams, and small companies. The degree of alignment between current and desired values, and between current and espoused values can be measured. The results are plotted against the framework of the Seven Levels of Personal and Organizational Consciousness.

Full Spectrum of Organizational Consciousness

Corporate Culture Assessment
The Corporate Culture Assessment is used whenever there is a need to measure the consciousness and map the values of different staff levels, departments, locations, regions or to determine demographic differences. The Corporate Culture Assessment can be used in small, medium and large organizations. The results are plotted against the framework of the Seven Levels of Personal and Organizational Consciousness.

Leadership Values Assessment
The Leadership Values Assessment is a 360-degree feedback instrument that compares a manager's perception of his or her operating values against the perception of his or her superior, peers and subordinates. The results are plotted using the framework of the Seven Levels of Leadership Consciousness. This assessment is usually followed up by a two-hour feedback session and the development of a personal action plan.

Merger and Acquisition Compatibility Assessment
The Corporate Culture Assessment can be used to prepare a Cultural Due Diligence report. Culture Assessments are carried out for each company involved in a merger or acquisition using a common template of values. The Personal, Current Culture and Desired Culture values of the two organizations are compared to determine the similarities and differences between the two cultures. A compatibility assessment report is produced to highlight the key issues that should be addressed in implementing the cultural aspect of the merger.

Employee Entry Assessment
This instrument allows organizations to evaluate potential employees with regard to their suitability for a particular position and their compatibility with the organization's current culture, or the culture it is trying to develop.

Employee Exit Assessment
This instrument can be used to measure exiting employees' perceptions of the organizational culture. This is useful for monitoring the reasons for departure, especially when there is a high turnover of employees.

Client Assessment of Corporate Values
This instrument can be used to identify clients', customers' or other interested parties' perceptions of an organization's culture.

The Corporate Values Game
The Corporate Values Game™ is a board simulation experience that supports executives and managers in understanding how to build a values-driven culture by exploring the relationships between values, culture and financial performance. The Corporate Values Game can be played as part of a culture change program, as part of a leadership development program or as part of a company conference focused on values.

The Enneagram
What is the Enneagram?
It is a technology for high-functioning executives, teams and organizations and a powerful tool that facilitates organizational change in the corporate arena. It is a system about people–how we are the same, how we are different, and what makes us "tick". Enneagram is a Greek word meaning nine-pointed diagram. Its nine personality types provide business leaders with insight into their own personal beliefs, habits of attention, blind spots and resistance to change.

How the Enneagram applies in the workplace
The Enneagram brings home the validity and value of colleagues, clients and employees, often misunderstood points of view. The insights are essential in developing the greater personal awareness needed to succeed in today's changing corporate environment. The Enneagram is being applied directly to a wide number of business applications such as coaching, leadership, management and team development, communication, feedback, negotiation, conflict resolution, change management, diversity/cross-cultural issues, and time management.

Understanding gained through the Enneagram system helps clients:

  • Develop greater personal power and effectiveness
  • Resolve conflicts that impede productivity
  • Build heightened perspective
  • Unlock potential and erase barriers to success
  • Act versus react

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
What is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator?
"The purpose of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is to make the theory of psychological types described by C. G. Jung understandable and useful in people's lives. The essence of the theory is that much seemingly random variation in behavior is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the way individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment."*

The MBTI is an instrument for measuring a person's preferences in how they relate to the world, take in information, and make decisions. The system uses four basic scales with opposite poles. The four scales are: (1) Extraversion/Introversion, (2) Sensate/Intuitive, (3) Thinking/Feeling, and (4) Judging/Perceiving.

How MBTI applies in the workplace
The MBTI is designed to illuminate a person's style of perception and judgment. Perception involves all the ways in which we become aware of things, events, or ideas. Judgment involves all the ways in which we come to conclusions about what we perceive. If people differ in how the perceive and in how they reach conclusions, then it is only reasonable for them to differ in their interests, reactions, values, motivations, and skills.

MMA uses the MBTI as a tool to help clients better understand themselves and their teammates, to improve work and personal relationships, increase productivity, and identify leadership and interpersonal communication preferences. By recognizing that everyone has a unique personality and communication style, employees can adjust their work habits, skills and conversation to be more productive in the office.
